MLK and his Legacy

This month marks the recognition of the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. This celebration serves as a reminder of how his heroism in preaching his message of non-violence helped to guide the 1960s Civil Rights Movement until his assignation in April 1968. Dr. King’s courageous “I Have a Dream” speech gave the nation hope and continues to inspire others today.

Thanksgiving has gone Multicultural!

One of America’s most popular holidays, Thanksgiving has arrived. Thanksgiving is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday of November in the U.S were families give thanks for their blessings. It all started in 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that made it to be the first Thanksgiving celebration.
